This book started a little slow for me. I was over halfway through before I cared much about it. The mythology and world-building drew me in, but I didn't care about the people for the most part. Margrit only became interesting once she started spending more time with Alban. There were so many different races that things often felt rushed, but I understand that was part of showing us the setting. I'll definitely pick up the next in this series, and I have a feeling now that we're beyond Margrit finding out about this hidden world around that I'll enjoy the story more.
